In a tech landscape often dominated by “doomscrolling” and massive screens, Clicks Technology made a significant pivot at CES 2026 by transitioning from an accessory maker to a hardware manufacturer. Therefore, MrMobile and co. have been unveiling the Clicks Communicator, a standalone smartphone designed to recapture the tactile efficiency of the BlackBerry era. As a former Blackberry user, I can’t wait to have one in my hands. But, before that here are the things you need to know about the “Kindle of Smartphones”.
The Clicks Communicator: “Doing, Not Doomscrolling”
The Clicks Communicator isn’t trying to replace your iPhone or Galaxy Ultra; instead, it is being marketed as a “companion phone”—a secondary device dedicated entirely to messaging and productivity.

Key Features & Specs
- The Keyboard: The star of the show is a permanent, tactile QWERTY keyboard. It is touch-sensitive, allowing users to scroll through emails or web pages by swiping across the keys. A fingerprint sensor also cleverly hides within the spacebar.
- The Signal LED: Built into a side-mounted “Prompt Key,” this customizable notification light allows you to assign specific colors to different contacts or apps (e.g., Blue for Slack, Green for a spouse), letting you triage notifications without ever turning on the screen.
- Modern Meets Legacy: While it runs Android 16, it retains “extinct” features like a 3.5mm headphone jack, a physical microSD slot (up to 2TB), and a dedicated physical kill switch for Airplane Mode.
- The Hardware: It features a compact 4.03-inch AMOLED display, a 4,000 mAh battery, a 50MP main camera with OIS, and 5G connectivity.
The Power Keyboard: The Universal Slider
For those not ready to carry two phones, Clicks also introduced the Power Keyboard. This is a magnetic, slide-out accessory that attaches via MagSafe or Qi2.
Unlike the company’s original sleeve cases, this is a Bluetooth-enabled universal keyboard. It features its own 2,150 mAh battery, which can either power the keyboard for weeks or act as a small power bank to “top up” your smartphone’s charge while you type. Because it uses Bluetooth, it can also pair with tablets, smart TVs, or even VR headsets.
